Educational use
Chemisode Simulations is designed and made to support chemistry education. It is a supplementary learning resource and should be used alongside teacher instruction, current course materials and appropriate laboratory guidance.
Models and scientific accuracy
The simulations simplify particles, apparatus, time, scale, quantities and chemical behaviour so that concepts can be explored visually. Particles, colours, distances and rates are generally not drawn to scale. Real results can vary with concentration, purity, temperature, pressure, equipment and experimental technique.
Chemisode aims to keep explanations and calculations accurate, but does not guarantee that every simulation, answer, data value or external reference is complete, current or free from error. Users should verify important information against authoritative sources.
Not laboratory safety instructions
A virtual practical is not a substitute for a school risk assessment, teacher supervision, safety data sheets, approved laboratory procedures or local regulations. Do not carry out a real experiment solely from the actions shown in a simulation.
Curriculum and external sources
Chemisode may refer to VCE resources, PubChem, IUPAC, NIST and other external sources. Unless expressly stated, Chemisode is not affiliated with or endorsed by those organisations. Curriculum and data-book requirements can change, so users should consult the current official publication.
Responsibility and liability
Users are responsible for how they use and interpret the simulations and generated reports. To the extent permitted by law, Chemisode is not responsible for loss, damage or adverse outcomes arising from errors, interruptions, reliance on simplified models, or use of the site outside its intended educational purpose.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under Australian consumer law.
